How to scan bar codes...A few tips on how to read barcodes the easy way 1) Light. Lots of it. The more light, the faster the shutter speed on the camera, the less blur etc etc. 2) Reflections. If you are scanning a CD case, then make sure any direct light sources aren't being reflected in the plastic.
Err.. Anybody got any other tips ???

Found a site: http://www.upcdatabase.com/
you can enter the upc code manually and it will display the barcode on the screen, have had great success scanning straight from my lcd monitor, also can do a "Random Item" which as it says will display a random barcode from it's database of over 1 million barcodes. |
